I'm in one of my LGS's that I hang out at and I see there are 3 Marlin "JM" stamped 336 30-30's on the rack. So naturally I want to take a look at them...I look at the markings on the barrel, one is "SC", one is "A", now, I've looked around abit but other than seeing that "yea, they are Marlin models" of the 336, what is the real difference? Hello, this is my JM stamped Glenfield 30A which is basically a Marlin 336 but with a cheaper stock and its in great condition. By my research it was made in 1973 based on the serial number. There is still plenty of rifling left so it hasn't been used that much.
