The 870 isn't bad for the price though, but the Nova surpasses the 870 in performance as I've had cases lodge in the Rem. I have yet to have any cases of lodging in the Nova. I have both a Nova and a 500. The 500 is a very stout gun, the stock plastic grips do have a little wobble but the wood upgrade is solid. I do love my Nova though, the only down sides to me are the safely and action release are awkward compared to the 500 and the foregrip on the Nova feels super light weight and cheap.
