U already have the 2 best supporting classes in the game paladin and cleric that can give ur team insane attack bonus, unless ur playing on unfair u don’t need mercs I know I beat the game on hard without mercs and used mercs on my unfair playthrough. Also, despite the misconception you'll often hear on the boards, hiring mercenaries and also keeping your companions around does not lower anyone's rate of level advancement.

The only way to really do that would be to have all your companions as super simple classes, where the only real character option they have is "hit it with my stick". So like fighter, barbarian, paladin, ranger. Amari, Valerie are the 2 major ones, but Haram works too. Alternatively you could just make a bunch of mercenaries.
