Every Sureno is a southsider but not every southsider is a Sureno. Surenos are ones that have done time and plugged in with the eMe behind the walls, southsider is what they call street gang members but on another note, all sureños are southsiders but not all southsiders are sureños. The title of Sureño has to be earned.
